Guitar virtuoso Jimi Hendrix died on November 27th, 1970 at the age of 27. Adding to the mythical ‘27’ club. The ’27’ club is a group rockers who passed away at 27 (including Janis, Jim Morrison, Pete Ham of Badfinger, Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones) but his early death won’t stop the music.
Jimi will posthumously release a new album called ‘Both Sides of the Sky,’ expected to drop mid-March of 2018. The album will contain a few familiar tunes, but 10 unreleased songs that you’ll love to hear; “Hear My Train a Comin’” “Power of Soul,” and “Lover Man.” The album also contains covers from other artists like Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills and Jonny Winter.
“Both Sides of the Sky” is the last LP of the trilogy archive as the earlier trilogy albums were released in 2010 and 2013.
