2017 was going to be the comeback year for Bob Seger; he’d written and posted a Glenn Frey tribute song on his website, written songs for a new album which he dedicated to Glenn, and began an ambitious tour. Then mother-nature stepped in, forcing bob to have surgery and a lengthy recovery. He’d begun to experience a tingling sensation in both arms, and a doctor confirmed what he had suspected; Bob had ruptured disc in his back. Bob Seger is 72 and had always been in good health till now. 40+ years of rock and roll success comes with a price, so Bob is ready to recuperate and get back on the road.
Bob had only performed 13 of his original 30 something tour dates, but the news is good as he’s recovering nicely at his suburban Detroit home. “I Knew You When,” Bob’s 2017 LP, is number one on the rock charts, enjoying tremendous sales and airplay nationwide.
Although there is no concrete news of the resumption of the ‘I Knew You When’ tour, it’s expected to be publicized soon.
