Bet you didn’t know this AC/DC fun fact…
AC/DC one opened for the ‘Dictators’ and the ‘Michael Stanley Band’ at the Palladium in New York City in 1977. The band was full of surprises in their younger days, but unfortunately, the band (like the rest of us) is getting older. Just this year’s producer and Brother George Young passed away, and brother Malcolm retired in 2014, suffering from dementia. The band continues to tour. Here are our favorite AC/DC tunes…
“Thunderstruck” is the theme song from the B movie of the same name. The storyline is this; five AC/DC fanatics promise each other that when the first one dies, the others would make sure the deceased would be buried next to AC/DC member Bon Scott. The song is a classic from 1990.
“Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” is one of the last songs Bon sang, released in Europe and Australia in 1967, but not until 1981 in the US.
“Highway to Hell” is considering the breakthrough tune for the boys when released in 1979, featuring some of the last songs Bon Scott would ever sing. Interestingly enough, the song and album was produced by an up and coming studio magician by the bam one Mutt Lange, who we know would become a legendary produce and eventual husband of Shania Twain.
