Whitesnake Set to Release ‘Purple Tour Live’ LP

This November Whitesnake will release the ‘Purple Tour LP, the album and subsequent 2015 tour of the same name is not quite a greatest hits, but filled with their classic songs and a few new tracks.

The group Whitesnake was an interesting and successful hair band from the early days of rock and roll, hitting the charts with plenty of tunes, from “Here I Go Again,” “Is This Love,” and “Now You’re Gone,” and selling millions of albums and filling arenas across the US. At the birth of the band, its frontman and lead singer David Coverdale had just left Deep Purple in 1978, when fortune would fall on his lap, forming Whitesnake with Bernie Marsden, Brian Johnston, Neil Murray, Micky Moody, and drummer David “Duck” Dowle.

If you’re a Whitesnake fan you’ll be able to buy the LP in CD/Blu-ray, CD/DVD, single CD, and 2LP packages. The project also includes interviews, previously released tunes from their stormy career, and a companion book they call “The Purple Tour – A Photographic Journey.”
