In a recent auction Prince’s handwritten note for the lyrics of his hit songs “Purple Rain,” and “The Ladder,” along with other personal items yielded thousands of dollars for his estate. In addition to the handwritten lyrics, other items included in the auction were yellow boots worn onstage for live concerts from his touring years, 1986 to mid-90s, his 1980 Rick James ‘All Access’ tour pass, plus his personal tambourine played on stage.
The bank managing Prince’s estate has been liquidating the late singer’s assets, at the objections of Prince’s immediate heirs. Paisley Park, the former home of Prince, is estimated to be worth over $7 million dollars.
Prince also owned properties across the USA in total values exceeding $28 million dollars at the time of his death. His left an estimated $300 million dollars in property, assets, and rights to songs recorded over the years.
