Let’s Get This Week Started Right!

Here are your Monday morning music headlines…

The Motor City’s Bob Seger is having a resurgence this year, touring like he did in the old days, working on a new album due out this fall. Bib has now released a cover version of Lou Reed’s “Busload Of Faith,” a song that is near and dear to him. Bob’s new album is called “Knew You When ” Bob has liked the song since it appeared on Lou’s iconic album New York from 1989.

George Harrison used a sitar in the recording of his song “Norwegian Wood” when the Beatles recorded the song in 1965. This past week the very same sitar was auctioned off in Los Angeles, bringing in over $60,000.

“Mi Gente” is the new Beyoncé single, but the real buzz about the song is news that she’s going to donate the proceeds of sales toward the earthquake and hurricane relief organizations CEMA and UNICEF.
