Bon Jovi’s 14th studio album was released a while ago, called “This House Is Not For Sale.” A highly successful tour followed, with Jon staying busy. A few weeks ago Jon gave a concert in New Jersey at the Dicks Sporting Goods Open; when will this dude slow down?
How did it all begin for Jon? Jon’s cousin owned a recording studio, Jon worked there; his first professional recording was that of a Christmas song to R2 D2 called “R2 – D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
Jon’s early hit “Runaway” was recorded with a pickup band (his band had yet to be formed) although there were a few of the final original members of that band in this one for the “Runaway” single. Their song “You Give Love a Bad Name” was going to be given to the Canadian band Loverboy, but Jon thought better of it, recording it himself
The original name of the band was going to be Johnny Electric, but they changed. Another good decision was keeping the song “You Give Love a Band Name” in that they were going to give it to the band Loverboy, but Richie Sambora talked Jon out of just giving it away and recording it themselves.
Jon is worth $300 million dollars, and as a businessman was the owner of the Arena Football team in Philly, and has tried to buy the Buffalo Bills in the NFL a few times.
