In somewhat surprising news, Ezekiel Elliot has had his six-game suspension upheld, but he will still be able to play week one against the New York Giants. The timing of the decision happened so late that the Cowboys are allowed to play him in their big Sunday night opener.
Elliot is currently slated to miss six games starting week two, but there is a chance that could change. Harold Henderson, the arbitrator on the case, made the decision to uphold it Tuesday night, but now the temporary restraining order will be decided on by Judge Amos Mazzant. He will be making his decision on the TRO Friday evening.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens with Elliot’s extended future, but for now we know he will be playing in week one.
