Our Top Desert Island Gotta Haves

Most everyone has to have something to survive. For many, the ‘gotta have’ is their smart phone, coffee, or the internet. In the world of music, imagine being sent away on a desert island with nothing but your favorite albums? Which albums would they be?

Here are our ‘Top Desert Island Gotta Haves.’

“Blue” by the legendary Join Mitchell is the siren for love from the early 70s. “California,” “Blue,” and “Carey” were not radio hits, but incredible songs for the heart.

“Meet the Beatles” by the Beatles is that rare middle ground that all Beatle fans can agree on. Without this LP we’d be hearing Mitch Miller on the ride to work.

“Quadrophenia” by the Who is the statement that the rock and roll community needed to make, and the Who brought truth to power.

“Born to Run’ by Bruce Springsteen is the essential Boss album that has more hits on it than a baseball game – “Thunder Road,” “Born to Run,” and “10th Avenue Freeze Out” are gold.
