Did You Know… Phil Collins Edition

Phil Collins announced his retirement from touring and music altogether a few years ago, battling health issues and depression. Phil’s health returned, as did his thirst to be on the road again. His ‘Not Dead Yet’ tour just added more dates for London and Ireland; in the meantime let’s share a few Phil Collins Fun Facts…

Phil’s an accomplished author, having written and autobiography called ‘Not Dead Yet,’ and ‘The Alamo and Beyond: A Collector’s Journey.’

Did you know that Phil has won seven Grammys? He’s also earned three American Music, two Golden Globe, six Brit and the coveted Disney Legend award. Phil was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 as a member of Genesis.

Phil had more hits in the 80s than any other solo artist, and is one of only three singers to have over 100 million records as a solo act – the other two are Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney.

The oddest collaboration was with ABBA, the longest affiliation with Genesis, his favorite ‘non music’ moment, appearing on the TV sensation ‘Miami Vice,’ and his proudest accomplishment is that of being a father to all his five children.
