Those Who Released Autobiographies in Their Day

Reading a book is still one of the most relaxing and soothing hobbies anyone can have, and we wanted to suggest a few of the autobiographies or best sellers worth spending time with.

Frank Zappa was more than an unusual musician; he was an artist with strong political and social opinions. If you don’t mind getting an entirely different perspective of the 60s and 70s, ‘The Real Frank Zappa’ is the book for you.

‘Kicking and Screaming’ is the collaborative autobiography of Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart. Earlier in the year Aerosmith’s Joe Perry released ‘My Life In and Out of Aerosmith.’ The late Gregg Allman wrote ‘My Cross to Bear’ a few months before his death.

Noel E. Monk the former manager of Van Halen has written a behind the scenes reveal called ‘Runnin’ With the Devil,’ while former Jefferson Airplanes’ Grack Slick has written an autobiography called ‘Somebody to Love? A Rock and Roll Memoir.’

‘Here, There, and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles’ is an insightful look at the Fab Four from a recording technician who began working at famed Abbey Roads studios at the age of 15, and recorded all of the Beatles’ hits.
