On Sunday history was made in Texas. Adrian Beltre became the latest player to reach 3,000 hits! What’s amazing is that he’s the first Dominican born player to reach this milestone as well. He did it Sunday against the Orioles in the fourth inning and boy was it a sight to see.
Beltre is the 10th youngest player to ever reach 3,000 hits and just the 31st player to do so overall. It has taken him 20 seasons to do it, but at the age of 38 it’s pretty amazing!
So, now that Beltre has reached 3,000 hits who is next? Albert Pujols of the Angels is about 100 away, Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers 400 away and Robinson Cano of the Mariners just under 700 away.
Congratulations to Adrian Beltre and his family!
