The NFL Draft took place just the other day and now we are back into the slow offseason where all we can do is sit around and wait for the games to start back up. The news surrounding college football and the NFL never stops though. There is plenty to talk about.
For starters, did you see Nick Saban signed an extension with Alabama recently? After signing an extension that runs through 2024, he is now set to make around $6.7 million every year except this year. This year he’ll make a crazy $11.15 million! This is more than many NFL coaches.
News has broken that LeGarrette Blount is receiving some love from a few NFL teams. Specifically the Giants and Lions have been noted as teams looking to add him. Both teams struggled to run the football last season and he would make for a big improvement in each offense.
The NFL Draft is complete and one of the fun things to look at is where the players came from. Leading the way with most players drafted is Michigan (11) with Alabama close behind (10). A few surprises at the top include Miami (9), Utah (8) and UNC (6). On the other side of things, Georgia only had one player drafted, which has made fans in the state wonder what’s going on.
