As it currently stands, Radiohead is scheduled to play in Israel on July 19. The show in Tel Aviv has gained much attention as there are political issues going on there surrounding apartheid and things of that nature. Now, many are speaking out asking the band to skip the show.
Ken Loach, a famous director, and Thurston Moore are just a few that have penned a letter to the band asking for them to not perform in Tel Aviv on July 19. They have compared the situation in Israel right now to the one in South Africa years ago. South Africa saw many performers not come during their time of apartheid and this letter asks for Radiohead to do the same.
This is a very interesting situation involving this big named band. Will Radiohead cancel their performance? Will they stick with their original plans? We’ll have to wait and see.
