The 32nd Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn April 7th; the 2017 inductees are Journey, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Yes, Joan Baez, and The Electric Light Orchestra.
Yes was a very interesting ‘progressive rock’ bands from the UK in the mid to late 60s. They group began with founding members Jon Anderson and the late Chris Squire, and has seen its share of lineup changes.
Did you know that there are very few three letter word bands in rock; they were originally called ‘Mabel Greer’s Toyshop,’ but one night the band had to get a proof for a flyer to the printer, and the printer mad them come up with another name to fit on the space allowed.
Yes has won a Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental Performance with “Cinema” and has been nominated for a Grammy five times. Yes has recorded 21 studio albums and 16 ‘Live’ LPs.
