Two Members of Fleetwood Mac to Release Duet Project

Fleetwood Mac may be one the greatest bands of all time, dominating the 70s with ‘Rumours,’ then ruling the 80s with hit album after hit album. Every now and then one of the band members does a solo project or LP, and now we hear that Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie will collaborate for their first ever duet project.

‘Buckingham McVie’ is expected to be released in May, and most fans are excited to hear these two talented members get together. The project – turned duet – had initially been intended to be a new Fleetwood Mac effort, but Stevie has been non-stop touring with the Pretenders, so it was impossible to bring everyone back for the LP. There’s a chance Mick and John however will have some presence on the LP. That being said, most critics and fans will not consider this new project a genuine ‘Fleetwood Mac’ album.

The LP title is in homage to the duet LP that put Lindsey and Stevie on the map and in Fleetwood Mac lineup in the early 70s called ‘Buckingham Nicks. The odd truth is Mick Fleetwood payed a visit to a popular recording studio in the early 70s, asking the owner to hear the latest work by anyone that blew him away. Sure enough, the duet Buckingham Nicks LP was presented, and the rest they say is rock and roll history!
