2017 has already been an interesting year, given we have a new President, a new NFL Champion, and new record highs on Wall Street. Let’s kick off the week with a few music headlines…
The late David Bowie continues to be celebrated, earning multiple Grammys in last night’s show. In the same broadcast, ‘The Beatles Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years’ also won a Grammy.
John Wetton, King Crimson founder and member of Asia, has died at the age of 67 after a long battle with cancer.
Bob Dylan announced last week the release of a ‘triplicate’ or three-CD package of cover songs from the great Frank Sinatra. 30 songs can be found on the set, available at the end of March for purchase.
Legendary stars Peter Frampton and the Steve Miller Band have agreed to join forces and tour together this summer; the first date will be June 15th in Holmdel, NY. Deep Purple and Alice Cooper have also decided to share a tour bus, hitting the road together beginning in early August.
