Your NBA Stat Leaders

The NBA season is in full swing and the All-Star teams were just recently announced. How about taking a look at who is performing the best statistically, not based off of fan voting?

For points per game it should come as no surprise that Russell Westbrook leads the way. His 30.8 points per game are 1.7 more than the next best player, Isaiah Thomas. Now, Thomas is a huge surprise coming from such a small player. His game can’t be denied though.

A surprising name to discuss when looking at stats is James Harden and his 11.4 assists per game. It leads the NBA and is quite surprising considering he is also averaging 28.8 points per game. How does he do both? Well, he is easily in the talk of MVP candidates come season’s end.

Rebounds per game is a tough battle between three players: Hassan Whiteside, DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond. The first two are averaging 13.8 per game while Drummond is at 13.6. The next best rebounder is Dwight Howard with 12.8 per game.

What an amazing season it has been, watching stars like Westbrook and Harden dominate and seeing a player like Isaiah Thomas emerge to greatness.
