Cooperstown is the home of the MLB Hall of Fame and Wednesday night it invited three more players to join the family. Those three players were Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez. None of these players are surprising, although it is tough to see Vladimir Guerrero and Trevor Hoffman just miss the cut.
Jeff Bagwell led the way with 86.2% of the votes. This former first basemen was a part of the “Killer B’s” back in the Astrodome for the Houston Astros. He was an MVP in 1994 and a four-time All Star during his time in the MLB.
Tim Raines received 86% of the votes after being eligible for quite some time. He was known for his work with the Montreal Expos back in the 80s although he did play all the way until 2002!
Ivan Rodriguez is widely known as the greatest defensive catcher of all time. He received 76% of the votes, just one percent more than what is needed to make the Hall. He made a name for himself in Texas for the Rangers before proving he still had the talent at an older age in Detroit in the 2000s.
