The super groups Yes and Moody Blues have a lot in common. Each band broke through rock barriers to find their own voices, became wildly successful through the span of their careers, and had at one time the same keyboardist.
Patrick Moraz was born in Switzerland to a musical family, his father once worked for a renowned Polish composer. At the age of 5 Patrick leaned to play the piano and violin, composing through his teen years.
This one time Yes and Moody Blues keyboardist has announced that he will perform a pair of concerts in New York City jazz club, taking place January 17, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET.
Patrick joined ‘Yes’ in early 1974 when Rick Wakeman’s left, putting his licks on the ‘Relayer’ album. He then joined ‘The Moody Blues’ in 1978, being a valued member of the lineup until his departure in 1991.
