Recently we have discussed the year-end charts from Mediabase, which covers the United States, but what about how all of the hits have been received in the UK? Official Charts Company released their year-end album chart and there are plenty of big names on it.
Coldplay’s “A Head Full of Dreams” did amazing in the UK finishing second on the chart. Big hits off that album include “Adventure of a Lifetime,” “Hymn for the Weekend” and “A Head Full of Dreams” among others.
David Bowie’s “Blackstar” was released around the time of his death early on in 2016 and it did amazing on the charts as well. It would finish at number six on the chart.
The 1975 had quite the year in the United States and apparently in the UK as well. Their album with the ridiculously long album name finished at number 25. Twenty One Pilots saw their success reach the UK as well with “Blurryface” finishing at number 27 on the chart.
Other albums to make it onto the chart include Radiohead (A Moon Shaped Pool – 28), Kings of Leon (Walls – 36) and Panic! at the Disco (Death of Bachelor – 48).
