When you think of the Folk/Rock band Eagles, it’s easy to put your focus on the late Glenn Frey, Don Henley or even Joe Walsh. Each of these band members were affable and enjoyed the bright spotlight, but it was the bass player that kept the back beat.
Most fans don’t immediately think of Timothy an original member that helped shape the Eagles in their early days.
Timothy B. Schmit was a bass player that earned his chops in Poco before joining the Eagles in 1977, replacing Randy Meisner. He remained with the Eagles through their first eventual breakup in 1980. Did you know that Tim is the only member from California? He also can be found on the Steely Dan albums ‘Pretzel Logic.’ ‘Aja’ and ‘The Royal Scam.’
Released this past September, Timothy’s latest solo project “Leap of Faith” has received rave reviews and critical acclaim. Here are the tracks to this terrific album.
1. “My Hat”
2. “Slow Down”
