It’s always a big thing to have a number one hit and somewhere out there Rae Sremmurd is celebrating because that’s just what they have right now. Their single, “Black Beatles,” has hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, taking down “Closer” from The Chainsmokers. That hit had spent 12 weeks at the top of the chart, an impressive feat.
“Black Beatles” was released about two months ago and has a little help from Gucci Mane on the track. It comes from their album, “SremmLife 2.” Interestingly enough, this hit was one of the reasons why their album was delayed this past summer. It was one of the last additions to the album, but thankfully they waited for this one!
Rae Sremmurd had never reached the top 40 from charts in the UK, New Zealand, Canada and Australia before this hit.
