Sully Tops $100 Million

Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks put out a great flick when “Sully” came out a few weeks ago and that’s evident by the recent milestone it reached. This past weekend the movie broke $100 million in North America.

The movie about a pilot emergency landing a plane safely onto the Hudson River has done quite well for itself. Hanks plays Chelsey “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot who saves 155 lives by being able to land the plane safely. Also piloting the plane was First Officer Jeffrey Skiles who was played by Aaron Eckhart.

“Sully” will be Eastwood’s third highest grossing film as a director with “American Sniper” and “Gran Torino” generating more revenue. Internationally, the move has brought in over $35 million to add to the $100+ million in North America.
