You’re on the road, the top of the covetable is down, and a great song jumps from your car radio – you reach for the volume and crank it up to 11. Yup, some songs are ‘Feel Good’ or ‘Oh Yea’ songs, and it’s why you love listening to your favorite radio station. Here is a brief list of songs we think make you feel so good…
“Eminence Front” by the Who is a wonderful travel/road trip car song, especially at dusk.
“Dancing in the Dark” by Bruce Springsteen reminds you of that girl that jumps on stage at the end of the song. You later find out that the girl in the video was Courteney Cox. It’s a great visual to go with a great song.
“I Guess You’re Just What I Needed” by the Cars is a moving and grooving song for the road, along with “My Best Friend’s Girl.”
“Jackie Blue” by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils just reminds you of the good old days, while any song from the “Fool for the City” Foghat LP is good to have on hand in front of a long trip.
