This week’s box office results are out and The Magnificent Seven has topped the rankings for biggest numbers. It has a star-studded cast with Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke and Chris Pratt among those that star in the movie.
The movie opened with $12.7 million on Friday night, a great sign for what was to come over the weekend. It would bring over $35 million, which would be enough for the top spot this weekend.
Western movies typically don’t do too hot at the theaters, at least recently, but this movie earned an A- CinemaScore, which definitely helped boost attendance at the theaters.
The Magnificent Seven is a remake of a remake with the original movie being Seven Samauri.
