A meteor is headed our way and you have one hour till you meet your maker. Here are the tunes you’ll need to prepare for eternity…
“Losing My Religion” by R.E.M is the perfect ‘see ya’ song. Michael Stipe proved his tenor and tone winning a few Grammys in 1991. The song was inspired by guitarist Peter Buck while watching a TV evangelist one night.
Okay so this is predictable, but you’ve got to hit “Stairway to Heaven” and “Don’t Fear the Reaper” one more time on the way out.
“The End of the Line” by the Traveling Wilburys is a happy song that demonstrates the collaborative genus of Petty, Harrison, and Lynne.
“Sympathy for the Devil” by the Stones, “Spirit in the Sky” from Norman Greenbaum, and “Fight the Power” from the Isley Brothers are songs that will prepare you for the best, or the worst.
