The football weekend is near complete with just two Monday Night Football games left to go, but what a weekend we had. Saturday’s college football wasn’t too crazy except for the 600+ total yards for Lamar Jackson from Louisville, eight total touchdowns from Kalen Ballage (Arizona State’s running back) and Tennessee’s big win in front of nearly 160,000 people! Yea, we’d say all of that is crazy! How about the NFL weekend though?
The Lions won in the final seconds because of a missed extra point by themselves, but then a made field goal with just under 10 seconds left. The Ravens won a low scoring affair against the Bills, 13-7. Carson Wentz of the Eagles won his first NFL start with a 29-10 victory over the Browns. Jameis Winston improved his record against the Falcons in his career to 3-0.
The most exciting games came from the AFC West as the Raiders went for two against the Saints and it meant a big win against the Saints on the road. While the Chargers held a big lead, but lost in overtime to the Kansas City Chiefs! What a big weekend of NFL it was!
We’re so happy football is back in action and can’t wait for the upcoming games in week two, which we’ll cover just a few days from now.
