Prince’s Pills Tested Positive for Fentanyl

Reports are out from this weekend that show that the pills found in Prince’s Paisley Park residence were not what they said they were. The pills were marked “Watson 385,” meaning they had a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen, but this wasn’t the case. These pills were counterfeit and instead contained fentanyl.

Fentanyl is an extremely powerful drug that is none to be 50 times stronger than heroin. During the autopsy, no fentanyl was found in Prince’s system, so any use would have had to occur around the time of his death.

The autopsy that was done after Prince passed away showed that he died of an overdose on this drug that was found in the counterfeit drugs.
