Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Other Great Museums

We still don’t know why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in Cleveland, but it is. Suffice to say, this is the mecca of museum or halls, and a must visit this summer. Every conceivable item of note, along with the photos, instruments and back story is here.

We all know what a Grammy is, but did you know that there is a Grammy Museum at 800 W. Olympia Blvd Los Angeles. This may be the final resting place of tribute and paraphernalia of the greatest rockers of all time, from the Beatles to Motown – all those that won a Grammy.

If you were to be walking down McLemore Street in Memphis you might turn to your left and be surprised to be standing at a national landmark. Yup, the Stax: Museum of American Soul Music Museum is right there! Issac Hayes, Booker T. and the MGs, Rufus Thomas, Otis Redding, Clarence Carter, the Staple Singers, The Bar Kays, the Dramatics and more all recorded at the studio under the Stax label.
