Showing Some Love For Tribute Bands

Mark Wahlberg is one of the hottest Hollywood stars, but has strong music roots. As a teen pop idol in the Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch band, we appreciate the chops. His ‘Rock Star’ movie with Jennifer Aniston in 2001 details how a star in a rock tribute band can actually make it to the top.
So, what bands are considered the best tribute bands of our current time? You’ll be surprised as we show a little love for the tribute bands worth seeing…

“One Night of Queen” is not necessarily a tribute band as much as it’s a two-hour tribute to the greatest band ever, Freddie Mercury and Queen. Gary Mullen portrays Freddie, while Davie Brockett is on guitar, Billy Moffat on bass, Jon Halliwell on drums, and Malcolm Gentles on keyboards. The band begins at the early sounds of the 80s, taking audiences through modern time.

If you loved the Beatles (who toured less than three years believe it or not) then you’ll love our pick for best Beatles’ tribute band called “The Fab Four,” These guys really look like the Beatles, playing the original amps, guitars, and set up exactly as the Beatles did.

Okay, this is really cool. Imagine a tribute band that pays homage to one of the best rock bands ever, who happen to be dwarfs? Yup! ‘Mini Kiss’ is the best KISS tribute band we could find, all of them being talented musicians and New Yorkers.
