Sporting Events’ Best Music – Part Two

Sports events and great songs always go together, they are a winning combination. Here are more classics that make any sporting event better…

“Thunderstruck” by AC/DC is a wonderful song that just sounds right, having its place in sports history as a thunderous open song.

“Rock and Roll part II” by Gary Glitter is the song that has no words with the exception of the shouted “Hey” – you would know it when you heard it. The only problem we have with the song is that Gary has had a long history of legal issues, currently serving a prison sentence of 16 years after being convicted of sexual abuse of minors.

“The Final Countdown” by Europe is experiencing a comeback due to its use in the recent GEICO commercial, but has always been a prop of professional sports teams.

“Don’t Stop Believing” is the Journey song that is the ultimate sport song used by every sports team in every venue in every state in the union.
