Gene Simmons did not expect the firestorm of passion and outrage last week after making a comment about the death of music icon Prince. Gene basically said Prince’s passing as ‘pathetic,’ suggesting that Prince brought it on to himself with drug abuse and overdose. The plot thickened as fellow KIIS member Paul Stanley ‘apologized’ on Gene’s behalf, then Gene slammed Paul for his betrayal.
It’s a travesty of justice, but Journey is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Well, Neal Schon has publicly stated that he doesn’t care, moved by the comments made by this years’ inductee Steve Miller, relative to the lack of respect the members of the Hall give deserving rockers.
Fleetwood Mac’s Mirage is being remastered and re-released this summer as a two-disc package, including out take and new material from that era.
