Rock’s Highest Paid Artists

Recently, Billboard released their list of top 40 artists and have no fear, rockers have made the list. The biggest and most relevant alternative rock artist on the list is Imagine Dragons. They finished 36th most of all artists last year when it comes to getting paid.

The band made a total of $6.7 million in 2015 with $2.6 million of it coming from touring. They made $1.7 million from publishing, $1.9 million in sales, and $448.3 thousand from streaming. That publishing number is fifth best of all artists, which is pretty impressive even if they only ranked 36th overall.

Other rockers on the list include The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, U2, Rush, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, and Paul McCartney. The number one overall artist was Taylor Swift who made over $73 million in 2015.
