Before the new Marvel movie, Captain America, comes out and change the box office numbers drastically, let’s take a look at what movies did great last weekend and will almost guaranteed fall behind Captain America this weekend.
The Jungle Book was the top movie last weekend with $43.7 million made. It’s been out for three weeks and has been quite the impressive Disney movie.
The Hunstman: Winter’s War has been out for two weeks and hasn’t had nearly the amount of success as The Jungle Book. It’s made almost $35 million during that time with nearly $10 million coming last weekend.
Keanu is the Key and Peele movie that has everyone raving about. It just missed second place last weekend by $.2 million. It has been out just one week, but might not see the uptick it was hoping for this weekend.
Mother’s Day is another movie that has been out for just one week. It stars Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Jason Sudeikis among others. In its first weekend it took home $8.4 million.
