We’ve touched on it in the past, but it’s just too hard to ignore how amazing it is that Empire of the Sun has hit it big with their not so recent hit, “Walking on a Dream.” The song was released eight years ago, so why has it rocked the waves so much lately?
Well, some say that absence makes the heart grow fonder and that just may be the case here. The band released the song in 2008 and never was a chart topper like it is now. Just a few months ago, the song was featured in a Honda ad and the rest is history! (Note to self: rockers love Honda vehicles).
The band has been riding the wave lately as it has become a top 10 hit and has also seen them perform on The Ellen Degeneres Show because of its success. The story to it is almost guaranteed the reason why Ellen was so curious about the band and had them on the show.
With this kind of momentum the band has, they have really been pushing their third album, which they are still working on.
