22 years ago this week, Kurt Cobain took his own life in what was such a very tragic day. This day, April 5, 1994, was one that shook the rock industry and those all around music. Cobain had an unbelievable knack for music and it showed in Nirvana’s success. The band sold over 75 million records worldwide with 25 million of them coming in the United States.
With all of this success, Cobain could not handle the fame and popularity that came with being a star. Add in addiction and depression and it made for a terribly unfortunate circumstance.
22 years ago this week, we lost an unbelievably talented musician, but we also lost a misunderstood man. He was married to Courtney Love and had one daughter.
In 2014, Kurt Cobain was put into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with Novoselic and Dave Grohl, also members of the band Nirvana.
