Rock bands can be pretty fickle on stage and in their personal lives, yet when it comes to the requests some bands make for their venue dressing rooms, it gets really funky. Here are more odd demands or requirements for dressing rooms a few of the biggest stars require while on the road…
Metallica requires the venue to provide enough breakfast food for 100 people, with lots of bacon.
During one tour Motley Crue’s rider (what the host must provide in the dressing room for the members of the band) included a boa constrictor and a schedule for local Alcoholics’ Anonymous meetings.
All toilet seats in the Madonna dressing rooms during one tour had to be brand new and needed to have signed affidavits to that affect.
Mariah Carey requires 20 white kittens and 100 doves when she travels, while Prince requires a doctor to administer B-12 shots and that all the food be wrapped in plastic. Elton John requires that his dressing room be adorned with fresh flowers, but no chrysanthemums, lilies, carnations, or daisies.
The greatest band ever, the Beatles, only asked for a large black and white TV and Coca Cola to be available in their dressing room. My, how times have changed.
