Of Monsters and Men released “Beneath the Skin” this past year and has been rocking out since then, but they haven’t been quite as big as their 2012-2013 years. It was at that time that their songs, “Little Talks,” “Mountain Sounds,” and “Dirty Paws,” rocked out like no other. The first two songs peaked at one and two on Alternative charts in 2012!
Since then, their biggest song was “Crystals,” which peaked at number four on the chats after it came out in 2015.
Overall, their still trying to replicate that 2012-2013 sound, but have yet to be nominated for anything since then. And even then they didn’t even take home any hardware for their big hits either! We think they were robbed at the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards, but that’s just us.
We’re excited to hear what’s to come from Of Monsters and Men. Sometimes a little time does the band a little good, but we’ll have to wait and see.
