Leaders in the NBA

The NBA season is about 75% of the way complete and we have yet to discuss the top players per stat in the league. There are no real surprise names here, but two of the three stat leaders seem to be overlooked to an extent, likely because of where they play. Let’s take a look…

Stephen Curry leads the NBA in scoring and it’s not even close. He’s averaging 29.7 points per game, with the next closest scorer being James Harden at 28 points per game. He’s a three-point superstar, routinely having videos of him on the Internet showing off his distance.

Andre Drummond is the top rebounder in the NBA with his 14.9 rebounds per game this season. He and DeAndre Jordan are the only two players in the league averaging more than 14 rebounds per game, with Dwight Howard being third on the list with 11.9 rebounds per game.

Rajon Rondo is up to his normal self, averaging an NBA best 11.9 assists per game. Like Curry, he’s pretty far ahead of the second best player for the stat, Russell Westbrook. Westbrook is averaging 10.2 assists per game with John Wall right behind him at 9.8.
