Linda Perry has reintroduced “Beautiful,” the iconic song she originally penned that became one of the defining ballads of the early 2000s, as the lead single from her forthcoming solo album Let It Die Here. The track, released ahead of the full album’s May 8, 2026 debut, showcases Perry’s own raw and intimate take on the anthem of self-acceptance and inner strength.
_ Let It Die Here _ marks Perry’s first solo record in more than two decades and was shaped alongside a feature-length documentary of the same name. The project reflects a period of deep personal and artistic reflection, with the album’s songs confronting themes of vulnerability, identity, and liberation.
Accompanying “Beautiful” is a striking short film directed by Sara Gilbert, blending vintage aesthetics with powerful performance and featuring Perry’s child, actor Lukas Haas, and Shane Powers. The video captures the message of courage and authenticity at the heart of the song.
In addition to her solo work, Perry is also readying a new album with her former band 4 Non Blondes for release later in 2026. Meanwhile, Let It Die Here and its documentary counterpart signal a full-circle moment for one of rock’s most influential singer-songwriters.
