Jennifer Lopez Says She’s Done With Marriage: “I’ve Tried That a Few Times”

Jennifer Lopez is officially closing the chapter on marriage.

During a stop on her Up All Night European tour, the 55-year-old global superstar playfully responded to a fan’s “J Lo, marry me?” sign with a candid remark that sparked buzz: “I think I’m done with that,” she laughed. “I’ve tried that a few times.”

Lopez has walked down the aisle four times, with her most recent—and most high-profile—marriage to Ben Affleck ending in 2025 after a quiet separation the year prior. Despite rekindling their iconic early-2000s romance in 2021 and tying the knot in 2022, “Bennifer 2.0” couldn’t go the distance.

Her marriage timeline includes Ojani Noa (1997–1998), Cris Judd (2001–2003), and Marc Anthony (2004–2014), with whom she shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Reflecting on her journey, Lopez told Interview Magazine last year that her most recent heartbreak nearly “took [her] out for good,” but added, “That is exactly what I needed… I’m proud of myself.”

Now focused on performing, healing, and motherhood, Lopez seems to be embracing single life with power and poise. “It’s a great time to go out there and dance and sing and have a good time,” she told fans.

Marriage may be behind her—but the spotlight certainly isn’t.
