Women-Only Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp Returns to L.A. with Legendary Lineup

The third annual Women’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp will take place from December 5-8 in Los Angeles, featuring rock icons such as Nancy Wilson (Heart), Lita Ford (The Runaways), Sheila E. (Prince), Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper), and Rhonda Smith (Jeff Beck).

“Rock Fantasy Camp for women is a meaningful gathering of women together. As a military brat, I never felt constrained by my gender,” Wilson shared with Billboard. “Encouraging women to wield their power outside confining gender expectations is always a happy task for me.”

The camp will host around 80 participants, divided into up to 14 bands, each guided by a counselor. These counselors, including heavyweights like Roxy Petrucci (Vixen), Eva Gardner (P!nk), Jennie Vee (Eagles of Death Metal), Julia Lage (Vixen), Jennifer Oberle (Sarah McLachlan), and Britt Lightning (Vixen), will mentor campers throughout the four days, preparing them for a final concert with the rock stars at the Viper Room on Sunset Strip.

Open to musicians of all skill levels, participants are evaluated and placed in suitable bands, with a song list provided for rehearsals. The camp includes rehearsals, masterclasses, Q&As, and jam sessions.

This year’s event will also feature a panel of top women music executives, presented by Billboard, the camp’s media sponsor.

David Fishof, the camp’s producer, said, “The Women’s Rock Camps have been some of the most supportive and uplifting camps I have seen in my 28 years of producing the Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp. The bond and openness among participants without judgment bring immense joy and confidence.”

Britt Lightning added, “The campers gain lifelong friends and establish a network of passionate females from around the world. The overwhelming sense of community inspires both campers and talent, allowing dreams to be realized in music and beyond.”

Fishof, who has run the Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp for over 25 years, has featured rock stars like Roger Daltrey, Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Slash, Paul Stanley, and Sammy Hagar.
