Comedian Pete Davidson found himself in a tough spot during his Prehab Tour stop in Omaha, Nebraska, when persistent heckling forced him to cut his performance short. The 30-year-old former Saturday Night Live star was subjected to relentless interruptions, leading to an early end to his show at Steelhouse Omaha on Friday night.
In the aftermath, fans took to social media to express their support for Davidson and their disappointment with the disruptive audience members. Influencer Kate Stivers was among the first to defend the comedian, posting a passionate video on YouTube.
“Where the f**k did decorum go at events?” Stivers questioned. “He shouldn’t have had to walk off stage because you guys don’t understand that because you see crowd work on TikTok that you think every comedian needs to be heckled to the point that they leave stage with one joke left.”
Stivers praised the show’s policy of collecting phones before the performance, suggesting stricter measures for disruptive attendees. “There should be no tolerance. You need to immediately be kicked the f**k out,” she stated.
Other fans echoed her sentiments, sharing their own experiences from the night. One attendee, who was seated near a particularly disruptive heckler, described the situation as “embarrassing” and lamented the disrespect shown to Davidson. “Disappointed Nebraska didn’t allow him to feel respected enough to finish his set,” they wrote.
Another fan expressed frustration over the increasing trend of audience members trying to insert themselves into the show. “I’m here to see the comedian, not hear your comments that are so funny to your garage beer drinking buddies,” they said. “That made me so sad for Pete and all the people who paid the money and waited in line to see that second show.”
On Reddit, a supporter recounted the experience, stating, “He was so close to being done and we lost out on a great ending to a great show because people suck.”
Despite the setback, Davidson is set to continue his tour, with his next performance scheduled for June 8 in Niagara Falls at OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino. The tour will then move to Wisconsin, where he has two shows lined up on June 12 and June 13.
Fans remain hopeful that future audiences will show more respect, allowing Davidson to deliver his full set without interruption.
