The New York Giants Reportedly Reached a Long-Term Deal With Quarterback Daniel Jones

The New York Giants reportedly reached a long-term deal with quarterback Daniel Jones and will be using the franchise tag for running back Saquon Barkley, who thus far has not been able to produce a long term deal with the team.

Jones’ deal is worth $160 million over four years and has potential of an additional $35 million in incentives. Reports indicate that $82 million will be guaranteed over two years.

Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley would make $10.091 million next season if he ends up on a franchise tag. Without the tag or a long term deal, Barkley would otherwise be considered free agency. The news for both came at Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline for teams to place franchise tags.
