The Guess Who have just announced their upcoming album, Plein D’Amour is going to be released later on this year via Deko Entertainment.
The Canadian band also released the official music video for the upcoming album’s lead single, “The King.” The Guess Who’s biggest classic hit was their 1970 album, American Woman.
The band’s guitarist, Michael Staertow stated that, “We couldn’t think of a better time to introduce the world to an exceptional collection of songs that exude positivity and cohesive energy, a much-needed cultural antidote. Now we ARE love — ‘Plein D’Amour’!”
Meanwhile, the band’s founding member, Garry Peterson added, “After recording this album, and living with it for a while, I believe this is the best album that I have played on,”
Even vocalist and guitarist, Derek Sharp had something to add saying, “‘The King’ is a nod to ‘all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, couldn’t put Humpty together again,'”
The upcoming 8 track album was recorded at Villa Sound in Singhampton, Ontario, Canada along with Adam Fair.
