After Elon Musk decided to tweet a poll to users asking if he should step down as head of Twitter, rapper Snoop Dogg posted a poll of his own. “Should I run Twitter?” the 51-year-old Long Beach native asked Sunday (Dec. 18) evening. In less than a day, over 2.3 million users responded, with 81 percent voting that the rapper should be the new CEO.
Meanwhile, Musk has the internet split over his recent changes to Twitter, with his own poll ending with a slight majority of 57.5 percent voting that he should step down from his position. He also claimed in the tweet that he would “abide by the results” of the poll, opening up room for a new leader on the platform. Just over a month ago, Musk stated that he plans on finding someone to run Twitter and that he “frankly [doesn’t] want to be the CEO of any company.”
