Recently, Iggy Pop announced that he is releasing a new solo album titled, Every Loser, that will release on January sixth. His 19th solo LP is going to be released through Atlantic and Gold Tooth Records, the new label that was founded by producer Andrew Watt, who just produced and co-wrote Ozzy Osbourne’s Patient Number 9.
Pop stated that, “I’m the guy with no shirt who rocks; Andrew and Gold Tooth get that, and we made a record together the old-fashioned way, The players are guys I’ve known since they were kids, and the music will beat the shit out of you.”
Every Loser’s cover is courtesy of artist Raymond Pettibon. Pop previewed the album with the lead track “Frenzy,” that features Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith on the drums, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan on bass and Watt on guitar.
The album, Every Loser, is going to be available as a limited edition vinyl, cassettes and CDs, as well as on digital platforms.
