According to consequence.net, fans that went to the Gorillaz’s concert at Los Angeles’ Kia FOrum on Friday got a special treat in being able to see a star studded event featuring Beck, Tame Impala to Thundercat made appearances. Beck performed “The Valley of the Pagans,” along with the Gorillaz as well as the world premiere of “Possession Island,” off of the Gorillaz’s upcoming album, Cracker Island. Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Thundercat helped preview the Gorillaz’s next project as well by sitting in for “New Gold” and “Cracker Island.” Other guests seen included Schoolboy Q, EarthGang, De La Soul, and Del the Funky Homosapien. Cracker Island will be out on February 24th, 2023 with the band supporting the North American arena tour that runs through the end of October.
