Red Hot Chili Peppers Recently Released Eddie Van Halen Inspired Song

According to ultimateclassicrock.com, the Red Hot Chili peppers teased the release of a new track titled “Eddie,” that is inspired by guitarist Eddie Van Halen. There was a 57 second clip that was uploaded to the band’s Twitter account giving fans their first look at the track. The clip started with guitar sound like that of their 2002 hit “By the Way.” Around the thirty second mark vocals from Anthony Kiedis come through with, “Sailing the Sunset Strip, I’m a bit of a king / Granny would take a trip, I’ll be bending the strings / Got hammers in both my hands, such a delicate touch / They say I’m from Amsterdam, does that make me Dutch?”

The track is out now, and is going to be featured on the band’s upcoming album Return of the Dream Canteen. After the iconic Van Halen passed away in October of 2020; Flea posted, “Oh man, bless his beautiful creative heart, I love you Eddie Van Halen, an LA boy, a true rocker. I hope you jam with Jimi tonight. Break through to the other side my brother.”
